Dr. Susan F. McClanahan is a clinical instructor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, where she supervises and teaches graduate and medical students.
She lectures on eating disorders to medical students, professional organizations and the general public. Dr. McClanahan was the program coordinator and staff psychologist for Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation’s Weight and Eating Disorders Program for seven years.
She frequently works with clients struggling with depressive and anxiety disorders and she is an expert in the psychological aspects of pregnancy and infertility.
Dr. McClanahan holds a B.A. in Psychology from Duke University, a M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University in New York City, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University Medical School.
