During this assessment conversation, one of our mental health professionals will get to know you as a unique and whole person. You’ll get matched with the exact support you need. We’ll discuss what you’re currently experiencing, any past support you’ve gotten, and your specific needs.

You don’t need to have it all figured out today. That’s what we’re here for – to guide you and answer questions as they come up along the way. Here are some common ones we hear:

We welcome people of all ages*, genders, cultures, body shapes and sizes, and lived experiences. You can come as you are and get matched with the exact support you need.

*Programming for ages 10 and under varies by treatment program and location.

The initial call typically takes about 10 minutes; we’ll be gathering basic information, answering any questions you have and scheduling your assessment call.

This conversation can range from 60-90 minutes on average. We'll work with you to schedule a time that works best for you, including the very same day if that’s what you prefer. Assessments are completed over the phone to allow for additional flexibility and accessibility.

We will work with you to schedule a start date that works best for you. We can often accommodate start dates shortly after the assessment is completed. If there are travel considerations or other logistics to untangle, we will support you along the way.

For anyone over the age of 18, this is completely up to you. We cannot discuss your medical information, including diagnosis or details about our treatment recommendation, with your loved ones unless we have your permission. If you would like them involved in the process, we will ask you to sign a release form specifying the level of involvement you are comfortable with. If you would like to have a support person on the assessment call, you are welcome to have someone join you for part or all of the assessment.

For kids and teens under 18, we involve families from the very beginning, including the assessment process. Our families play a very important role in treatment and long-term recovery.

Yes, if you have a therapist, dietitian, psychiatrist, primary care doctor or other provider who referred you to us, they will be as involved as you want them to be. They can even join your assessment call with you, to provide additional support and guidance. With your approval, we will keep them updated throughout the assessment process, too.

    Start by referring your client for an assessment. An experienced mental health professional will get to know them and match them with the exact support they need.

    This can even be scheduled during one of their regular sessions with you, so you’ll be there to offer additional support and guidance.

  2. Guide Your Client

    Many people will have mixed feelings about entering care, that's a natural part of this process. While validating any feelings that might be coming up for them, we encourage you to stand firm in your clinical recommendation and let us know how we can help you navigate these conversations.

  3. Stay Connected

    You’ll remain as involved in your client’s case as you want to be. With continuing education events, resources and more, we’ll also give you the tools you need to support your client when they transition back to your care.
