Delia Aldridge, MD, FAPA, CEDS-C

Dr. Delia Aldridge is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience in treating adults and adolescents with eating disorders, PTSD, personality disorders, substance abuse, self-injury, mood and anxiety disorders.

She completed residency with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Rosalind Franklin University (formerly Finch University) /The Chicago Medical School, where she graduated with Academic Honors in recognition of her commitment to excellence over the course of training. Dr Aldridge served as Academic Chief Resident and was appointed Instructor in Psychiatry during her last year of residency, while she was also the Psychiatry Clerkship Coordinator. She received Resident Teacher of the year award (2001) and Distinguished Service Award (2002) from Finch University/The Chicago Medical School.

Presently, Dr. Aldridge is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Rosalind Franklin University/ The Chicago Medical School and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Rush Medical College, teaching medical students’ residents and fellows about medical complications and treatment of eating disorders.

Dr Aldridge received Lifetime Achievement Award in November 2023 from Kirsten Haglund Foundation at their inaugural event Finding Freedom Gala for her outstanding contributions to the eating disorder field. 

In addition to the numerous articles and poster presentations she has co-authored, Dr. Aldridge published a chapter, “Eating Disorders and Non-Suicidal Self-Injury: From Primary Care to Inpatient Hospitalization,” in the 2014 book “Non-Suicidal Self-Injury in Adolescents.” She was also a clinical contributor to the book “Self-Injury: Simple Answers to Complex Questions.”, addressing the practical approach for psychiatrist in treating this challenging behavior.
